Concept

  • The Forest of Arden represents life, safety, and hope to both Rosalind and Orlando.

  • Therefore, The Forest of Arden is shown in the full life, color, and warmth of Spring and Summer.

  • In contrast, the court of Duke Frederick, lacks the warmth, color, and life of the forest, much like a winter garden.
